Telephone of Tel Aviv shooter found in north of city

On Friday afternoon a student found the telephone of the shooter who murdered three people in Tel Aviv on the same day, lying in a side road in Ramat Aviv, a suburb in the city’s north. When the phone was turned on it started receiving calls from Arabic speakers, which on Saturday led to it being linked with the terrorist.

France, Germany slam Saudi’s execution of Shia cleric

France "deeply deplores" Saturday's mass execution, including that of Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr, the foreign ministry said in a statement, calling on leaders in the region to "do everything to avoid exacerbating sectarian and religious tensions". France opposes the death penalty "in all places and circumstances," it said, in comments echoed by Berlin.
