U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller filed charges on Friday against a political operative with alleged ties to Russian intelligence, bringing his probe into possible collusion by the Trump presidential campaign a step closer to the Kremlin’s door. The indictment, filed by Mueller in District of Columbia federal court, included new counts against Trump’s former campaign chair Paul Manafort and the operative, Manafort aide Konstantin Kilimnik, for tampering with witnesses about their lobbying for Ukraine. It was the third time Mueller had added to charges against Manafort since he was indicted in October.

Oscar-winner Thompson, famed for her roles in “Harry Potter” and “The Remains of the Day”, has been granted the title of Dame in the annual roll call of the great and the good of British society. The 59-year-old — described in the official citation of the honours committee as one of the UK’s most versatile and celebrated actresses — is joined by actors Tom Hardy and Keira Knightley, who received the Order of the British Empire “for services to drama”.
Elon Musk’s multi-billion dollar compensation package should be rescinded and the board of Tesla Inc should be overhauled to better protect investors in the electronic car company, according to a law suit filed by a shareholder on Thursday. The lawsuit accused the board of corporate waste and Musk, the company’s chief executive officer and chairman, of unjust enrichment. Tesla said in a statement that the lawsuit “seeks to take the power from our shareholders and instead give it to plaintiffs lawyers.
